Cookie Policy

Effective: July 22, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how EmailTemplateEngine uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies when you use our Service. We believe in minimal, transparent data collection.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and provide information to site owners. Local storage is similar but managed differently by your browser and is cleared less frequently.

2. Cookies We Use

We use only strictly necessary cookies. No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies are used.

__sessionHTTP CookieClerk authentication session. Required to keep you logged in.Session
themelocalStorageStores your dark/light/system theme preference.Persistent

Total: 1 essential cookie + 1 localStorage key. No third-party cookies.

3. No Tracking or Analytics

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any other analytics or tracking services. We do not use fingerprinting, session replay, or heatmap tools. We do not share data with advertising networks.

For basic usage monitoring (request counts, error rates), we use anonymized server logs that do not identify individual users.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies and website data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies

Note that blocking the session cookie will prevent you from logging in. localStorage can be cleared manually via browser developer tools without affecting functionality beyond resetting your theme preference.

5. Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy if our cookie usage changes. Since we do not use tracking cookies now, any future change would only add strictly necessary cookies or localStorage items for new features. We will notify you of material changes.
